Humourous intro to IT
http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail143.html
Funny. Probably will be blocked by the education systems filtering thingy in the 'no humour in education' category.
Only suitable for senior school kids as Lappy says that middle school kids are idiots? Is that really appropriate Lappy? Maybe the filter category will be 'abuse'.
When the screen saver comes on at the end look for the couple of links there for a bit of added amusement.

Dear Middle School Teacher ....
As a suggested intro for next computer lesson I thought you maybe give the following challenge to your students.
01100010 11100000 01101110 01100100 11110110 11101000 01100100 01110100 01101000
I attempted to read and understand the white paper on public and private key encryption but to get to the second page I needed to have an 'any key' on my keyboard to allow me to continue. Unfortunately I didnt and so I decided to invent a devishly clever algorithm and the 0's and 1's above are the result.
To the Grant High student who can decode it, South East Online will give a 100 hour block of internet time.
Tony
