Change management

We lack great leaders
1. Establish a sense of urgency
2. Form a powerful guiding coalition
3. Create a vision
4. Communicate that vision
5. Empower others to act on the vision
6. Plan for and create short-term wins
7. Consolidate improvements and keep the momentum for change moving
8. Institutionalize the new approaches

Eight simple steps to keep in mind and experiment with.

As I was contemplating the idea of a great leader in relation to change I began to think about the qualities I have obserevd in leaders. Great leaders inspire and great leaders have the energy and passion to motivate and be motivated. These eight steps aline themselves with individuals who are energetic, passionate and can inspire and motivate others.

So then: Do we have enough leaders who are truly passionate about their work, who inspire others and in turn have the motivation to initiate real change?
